A guest speaker, a certified nutritionist, had come in on New Years Eve when she discovered eCosway in the Aliso Viejo Town Center.
Malia and Neil talked with Wendy and I for quite some time about the fate of food in the world today.
She mentioned that she does presentations for corporations and other large venues and offered to do one in our store for us.
I had more people that couldn't make it than did, but those that made it really enjoyed it.
So I taped it for those of you that couldn't be there or didn't know about it. But before you watch you should know that I am not a professional video guy. This was a mix of my cannon pocket digital and my nikon digital AF (also instant), but of course two different formats... So I was not able to splice the photos into the video where applicable and some of my hand held zoomed slides are a bit fuzzy, but I believe readable (the information) is there... So to make things simple the "SLIDES" are at the very end of the presentation. If you want to see the slides while listening open two windows and pause the video on the appropriate slide. Listen to the other one.
Sorry for the low tech nature, but hey, it's better than nothing. I guess you could say "You should of made it!"
In Malia's presentation she talks about the commercialization of our food supply the introduction of GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) or GE (Genetically Engineered) Foods about 15 years ago, all without the consumers knowledge. Now many health experts, many European nations, people and activists are now pointing out how these genetically modified foods are messing up our health. Malia teaches us how to make better choices and try to quit eating to support your doctor. So please take 50 minutes out of your busy life and at least listen in, then read the slides at the end.
So watch here as Malia Chapman gives a nutritional presentation at the eCosway Aliso Viejo Store:
Watch, Listen and Learn how to eat healthier and better.
Also please visit Malia Chapman's website www.myhealthybite.com
Her website is packed with good stuff and information. A very balanced fair review of modern food and nutritional issues.
Thank you Malia (and Neil) for your time and wealth of information.
To Your Good Health,
Chris
